Inking Kombi is a creative kids studio with a difference – it’s on wheels!

See what happens when kids realise that everything can be used to make art…even an old sparkplug! Inking Kombi brings imaginative workshops to kids right across Melbourne and Victoria.

“Inking Kombi was a highlight of our 2016 Big Draw Festival. Mat and Nicki have a natural rapport with children and this encouraged great experimentation and fun. Hundreds of children rolled, squished and pressed parts of the Old Girl Kombi to make astounding artwork. The resulting work was displayed in our Town Hall Gallery and evoked a sense of shared pride from all involved and admiration from local artists. Inking Kombi is a concept that not only delivers art making at its best, it also encourages new ways of seeing the world around us.”

Van owners Mat Vaughan and Nicki Letts have been busy demonstrating the art of printmaking to eager youngsters who have probably never had the chance to paint ink on an old bus or make a stencil out of a hubcap.
